The beautiful, durable black finish given by 60 microns thick hard anodising has three benefits. It makes the pressure cooker absorb heat faster making it more energy-efficient. The Hawkins Pressure-Locked Safety lid
The unique Hawkins Pressure-Locked Safety lid ensures that when there is pressure inside the cooker, the lid is pressure-locked like a modern jetliner door. It cannot be opened until the pressure has fallen to a safe level.
Perfect Sealing through better design – “Play”
The lid handle bar is so attached to the lid that there is extra space for deliberate “play” or movement. This ensures perfect sealing of the lid with the rim of the cooker body. This is an advanced design feature – do not try to tighten the bar and remove this “play”!
Fixed Sturdy Pivot
The fixed sturdy pivot assists the self-centralising lid in locking securely and safely in place, ensuring a steam-tight seal. It is also designed so that no undue pressure is put on the plastic handles, as it is part of the metal handle itself. Thus the handles last longer.
Superior Pressure Regulation
The New Improved pressure regulation system regulates pressure better, cooks faster, saves more fuel, is easier to insert and remove and reduces sprouting of frothy foods (such as dal).
Automatic Safety Valve
The automatic Safety Valve is positioned such that, if it operates, the steam and food are deflected safely downwards.
Longer Lasting Gasket
As the lid fits from inside, the gasket does not get rubbed sideways, or cut or scraped every time the pressure cooker is opened or closed. Further, exposure of the gasket to food acids in the pressure cooker is minimised due to the protection given to it by the rim of the lid.
Sturdy, Stay-Cool Handles
Your pressure cooker comes with stay-cool handles which are easy and comfortable to hold while cooking. The handles are designed to provide optimal comfort and protection from excessive heat when the cooker is in use. The metal screws and rivets used to fasten the handles are safely recessed to limit the chances of your hand coming into contact with hot metal during cooking.

Good quality, heavy material, go for it. Although fining could be approved but overall good cooker. Got it for 1,990 …same model in pigeon is of ₹1,000 but then quality is not that good comparable to hawkins so I returned the pigeon cooker and ordered hawkins. Price is double but then quality is also good. Rest will get to know after use.

Excellent product and reliable forever
Excellent product.Using Hawkins cooker in my house for more than 45 years.This is my 5th purchase from Hawkins.This contura cooker is less time consuming, whistle blows very soon and due to its wide mouth it is easier to fry and cook.For a busy day it is a great help in the kitchen.I cook rice, pulao, biriyani, mutton and all sorts of dal, peas, rajma, chana etc.Point to remember please follow some minimum instructions given in the cookbook.Do not add too much of water in any type of cooker as it might overflow.This is from my personal experience of all this year’s. Hawkins is my personal love.Great value for money.Thank you amazon for the beautiful product.

Very Poor Quality – Food Burns Every Time
I am extremely disappointed with this Hawkins 3-litre non-stick pressure cooker. I purchased it expecting good quality and performance, but it has turned out to be a complete waste of money.The biggest issue is that food gets burnt every time, regardless of whether I cook on low flame or high flame. This defeats the entire purpose of buying a non-stick cooker. Even with proper oil and care, the food sticks and burns, which is very frustrating.The quality does not match the brand’s reputation at all. I expected much better performance from Hawkins, but this product has been very disappointing.I would not recommend this cooker to anyone. Definitely not worth buying.

The perfect small pressure cooker for our boat! Great for 1-2 people and gas cookers. Easy to use. Great value, pity the delivery fee to Croatia was high compared to the price of the cooker. Nevertheless, it was worth it.

This jacket is exactly the same as shown in the picture. It’s waterproof, warm and pretty comfortable. Worth spending the money on this product. –
